Ujima Academy, an initiative of St. James A.M.E. Church, is a faith-based workforce development and leadership program designed to equip men ages 18–40 with the skills, support, and opportunities needed to achieve economic stability and personal growth.Grounded in the principle of Ujima — collective work and responsibility, the Academy addresses critical gaps in employment readiness, mentorship, and life skills development among men in our community.Through a structured, multi-week program, participants engage in hands-on training, mentorship, and personal development designed to produce measurable outcomes in employment, stability, and leadership.
