At St. James A.M.E. Church, we believe God is calling us into a season of rebuilding and renewal.
Rooted in Isaiah 61:4, we are embracing the call:
“They shall build up the ancient ruins… repair the ruined cities… and restore what has been broken.”
This is more than a campaign — this is a calling.

Why We Must Restore
Following April 16, 2025 tornado and years of deferred maintenance, our church now stands at a critical moment.
Through various outreach initiatives and programs, we make a conscious, compassionate effort to help our community in any way we can. Our expansive outreach initiatives include mentorship programs, dedicated ministries, and administrative boards to provide comprehensive support.
We are committed to:
- Repairing storm-related damage
- Addressing long-standing facility needs
- Improving accessibility for all generations
- Strengthening our church as a hub for ministry and community outreach
St. James has always been a place of hope — now it’s time to ensure it remains that way for generations to come.
Our Plan for Restoration
We are taking a phased approach to ensure both immediate needs and long-term sustainability are addressed.
Phase 1: Restore & Protect
